Some of you may remember me taking a look at ABATE last season and what we are guaranteed here at the very least is a run for our money. Will almost certainly be in the leading pack from the off and the high draw usually helps so there's a nice each-way return if this one can hit the top third. Mark, going, jockey, grade all ticks in the box too.

Bit of a risk to go with a 45 rated as ever but LIBERTY BAY hasn't been miles away the last twice from a pound higher, including here on it's turf return last week. There's some speed there in snatches looking at a couple of previous runs and if the visor helps settle this one down then maybe we can expect further improvement.

Somebody, somewhere has tipped up class-dropping Light Flicker who was one of two long prices I fancied here but the value has long gone and if anything it's been overbacked so maybe PRINCE CLENI, the other one I thought could give us a run at a big price, is now the value play in this race. Was good around this time last year from this mark and probably found the re-appearence run at Taunton a touch light on the trip and may have also needed the run. Should be loosened up now and worth a look now down in the weights.

Oh god first I'm backing 45 rated horses and now I'm punting on 3yo races. TWENTY BOB might come on from the last run on turf which was over a mile at Yarmouth. This looks the preferred trip now he's maturing and the only other turf run on softer ground seemed to suit too. Considered at this price as the winter all-weather campaign, although winless, wasn't too shabby.

Mid-division for MAURA JEANNE last time out but kept on and will have almost certainly benefitted from the run after the break of almost a year and will now appreciate this rise in trip. Last seen over this distance when finishing third of 7 at Kelso last May and worth keeping an eye on from this reduced mark.

UTHER PENDRAGON just loves it here, with all three wins and another 5 of it's 7 turf places coming here at Bath. Worth a sentimental look at this price with all that course form behind it. Returns here below last winning mark and four pounds off when last seen on turf, runs well fresh and has claims if in the mood.
