Bookies are now offering betting specials on the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 movie
Adam Sandler confirmed in an interview earlier this month that the sequel to cult classic Happy Gilmore is currently being worked on and with that brings a whole host of betting specials around the movie.
Happy Gilmore 2 will follow on from the first movie, which was released nearly 30 years ago back in 1996, but there's no current clue around what the plot will be of the film.
Bookies have specials around different outcomes that we could see in the release with the joint favourites in the market that we see either Happy Gilmore or his son play in a Major.
Those specials are currently priced at 3/1 with both given a 25% chance of happening in the sequel with a cameo role from a real-life golfer and major winner priced at 7/2.
Happy Gilmore 2 - To happen in the movie | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Happy Gilmore To Play In A Major | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Happy Gilmore's Son To Play In A Major | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Cameo Role From Real-Life Major Winner | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Happy Gilmore To Play In Ryder Cup | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Happy Gilmore Shown Getting Hole In One | 5/1 | 16.7% |
What the expert says...
Betting odds are now offered on the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel with the latest odds suggesting that we'll see Happy Gilmore or his son in the film to play in a Major.
Further odds for the movie look at potential Golf stars making an appearance
We may well see a whole host of professional golfers wanting to make an appearance in the second Happy Gilmore movie after the success of the first one back in 1996.
Tiger Woods is the favourite in the market to make an appearance in the movie with bookmakers saying there's a 33% chance of it happening.
Rory McIlroy is second favourite in the betting market closely followed by Rickie Fowler and it would be no surprise to see multiple appearing in the movie.
Happy Gilmore 2 - Which PGA Tour Player will make an appearance? | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Tiger Woods | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Rory McIlroy | 5/2 | 28.6% |
Rickie Fowler | 3/1 | 25.0% |
Justin Thomas | 7/2 | 22.2% |
Jordan Spieth | 9/2 | 18.2% |
No release date is set for the film but it will likely be released on Netflix
We're yet to have a release date for the second Happy Gilmore movie with Adam Sandler's only quote about it so far saying, “we’ve been talking about a ‘Happy 2’ and we’re working on some stuff..." in an interview on the Dan Patrick Show.
The movie will likely be released on Netflix with Adam Sandler currently having a long-standing deal with the company to have his and Happy Madison's movies on there.
Bookies currently have December 31st, 2025 as their over/under release date with odds of 5/6 for either before or after that to be when the movie comes out.
