LOUIS TRIEZE nearly always makes a hash of the start, but won twice here despite that last season, so clearly enjoys a spin round here. Has had a couple of runs to strip fitter for the season and could now get involved from a reduced mark. Jockey Laura Coughlan is on board and knows him well, and with seven other runners there'll be slightly less traffic than normal to get though in the closing stages.

Regressed last year but it was a busy campaign and maybe the last run out has served as a loosener. Rock bottom mark now considerably lighter in the weights than when last seen in the height of the last turf season, when it narrowly missed out on some wins. Possible low handicapped outsider that could spring a surprise.

Another who could bounce back now returning to turf and is worth keeping onside in the early turf season is FURNICOE. Now 4lbs lighter than a blanket finish fifth at Thirsk last June, so could get involved on a going day. Trainer and jockey combine well and the stable also fare better here than most other courses.

Still a maiden but MILANESE ROSE had finishes of 52P4 over the hurdles last season and is a pound lighter here. so could get involved once more here. Stable don't send them to Ludlow often and have a cracking record when they do, and the jockey booking is a plus too. Record fresh is fine as well as distance and going so plenty of boxes have been ticked.
