This is therefore first time she has had same conditions as that win 5 starts ago, and she is now back on same mark.

Ajp Kingdom has a good record when back from a break (form reads 122) won at this trip on good ground in May last year at a similar configured track in Kempton. Made all and kept on well. Last two run PU were in better class and could well be ready to go again now freshened up. Track will suit his front running tactics.

Angels Dream won a maiden hurdle here in May last year 3 of five starts since were on softer ground and the other two including latest start 41 days ago were following a break where he looked like he needed the run. He has fallen in the weights and riders claim will also be a big assist today. With the ground much drier today and the sun on his back he looks to have serious claims in this.

This is much more a race at Crookbarrows level than last run when 5lb out the handicap, and he ran OK here last Nov. Showed form on quicker ground in points so today's drying ground is a plus, in the handicap proper today and where a few of these may need to run he appeals at a good price for EW purposes.

Rebecca Menzies knows her stuff and no surprise if this ones ready after 6 month break as he has run very well following breaks previously. Looks solid EW value.

He is now 5lb lower than then and looks as though there may be a bit more to come from him today with rider taking off a handy 5lb. Has won over this sort of trip and ground before and also run this track well twice in the past.

Gms Prince lightly raced 9yo who has run well on last three starts over hurdles. Latest start was after a 4-month lay off, and he should come on for that run. His penultimate start came here over 2f shorter than today, and he was staying on well that day so extra distance and return here could well be enough to see him lose his maiden tag.

Trickalight ran a very good race here last time (after 229 day lay off) over 2m1f which was much shorter than he usually goes over. He was staying on well at the end and seemed to enjoy the track and good ground. Same conditions and course today off 1lb lower and an extra two furlongs to cover, all looks ideal and plenty of value at 14/1 EW.

Five hurdle starts have yielded three 2nds for Spit Spot, and they have been decent horses that beat her, all starts have come on soft or worse. She showed good form on the flat on quicker ground, so the better ground today can bring more out of her. Whyzzat showed ability for this game when winning a maiden hurdle in Ireland 2 m good. Joined this yard in June 2022 and had one start, was off a year and half before running for this yard again. He has had three runs since the best of those was here. With a low weight today this headstrong individual could go off at a clip and try to nick the race, riders claim will assist and if given an easy lead it could pay off. Huge 50/1 odds worth a small stake.
