Looks like this race will be a good watch and will be quite competitive. Desert Dream is getting on a bit now but is not losing the love of racing and was a bit unlucky lto on second start this year. Now fully fit i expect a late charge off what looks like is going to be a strong pace and will hopefully fill a top 4 spot.

Looks quite an open race and this 4yo is making her h/c debut and is dropping in distance from those first 3 runs back to 8f and as always, i'm a little wary of these kind of moves.

There are a few in this 18 runner race that have winning chances and i hit the post, again, last week with Kodiac Prince who came 2nd and Comfort line to name a couple. But my ew tip here is Trueba who is drifting and currently an over-priced 28-1. I nearly had a small ew on him lto, but it was his first run and they left off the head gear which told me to leave it. Blinkers go on today and they have only been used twice i believe, so maybe i should be leaving this race also, but reports are saying he only likes good g/f and i don't believe that to be true, maybe not heavy but has done well on soft g/s and if that's the reason for the drift, so be it, but at the odds i'll take my chances.

There are some likes and dislikes here with Royal Countess. We have the lack of a recent run, claiming jockey hasn't won a race to my knowledge and lack of form in general for the negative. Local trainer who had winners here a couple of weeks ago, c & d wins (3) and a falling h/c mark with a 7lb claimer for the positive. Looks a weak race and if ready to go first up, can at least place at nice odds.

I can't resist having a cheeky ew on Darquesse who returned to the track after a little break last week and although was tailed off in last, did complete the race which hadn't been the case of previous 3 races. Has the same good going today and is now hooded which will need to transform this horse, but it's been known. Very small ew for betting.

Won a bumper when in France but fell on debut in the UK and followed up with a distant 5th lto. Has already changed stables again and a look at that last race, which was only 11 days after the fall, may well have come too soon because they ran ok for a while and also goes with a tongue tie today with a change of going.

Form has been awful since joining this yard with the one exeption, the win at Southwell over a mile two runs back. Lto was over 1m3f and although todays mark is the same, we have the same jockey and this time we are back over a mile. Has been a front runner but this jockey has given the lead away in those last two races to be in 2nd and it worked the first time, but seemed a bit of a stretch lto and didn't seem to have anything left in the straight, but if dictating the pace today, lightning might strike twice.

It has been quite a while since Whatwouldyouknow has run on the green stuff, being thought of as an aw horse, but that's not been the case this year and a return to turf on good/firm might well turn his fortunes around. It was only back in November 2023 that he last won, so i don't think he's over the hill just yet and he hasn't had many bad races on this going, maybe a couple, but has won 3 times and placed as well and with 5 places on offer here with a few firms, it might be worth an ew at these huge odds.

There is quite a hot fav here which may be hard to beat, but Native Melody has decent ew chances based on lto run here at Brighton. This was after a break and i wonder if the run was unexpected because it finished so strong with the jockey not even trying. Up in trip based on that last run looks a good move and the only negetive i can see is the going, being on the soft side of good, but is is drying out so there's hope.

Won on seasonal debut and although nto was only 8th, was only 2l behind the winner and didn't have a clear run. Conditions are still good for her here today and should be in the mix.

This has been drifting in the market which is not a good sign i know and it's probably because Ferrobin is just so unpredictable. Clearly a horse that needs to be in the mood, just like lto's win after a break at 66-1 and unlike a lot of times, things stay the same. Same jockey, same tongue tie, same blinkers, same going and same c & d, the only changes are, of course, mark has gone up and just slightly up in grade. Also has a another win and a place here, so likes the course and that could put him in a good enough mood.

This fav here today is well worth taking on imo after going off at a short price on h/c debut and only coming 4th/6 after pulling quite hard. I'm not a big fan of first runs in head-gear going around bendy tracks, which is another reason to take the fav on and i'm going with Golden Dove who's ran well at this track and has a c & d to boot. Ran well enough on seasonal debut to think she's fit enough and is also now on the same mark as that c & d win.

Dark Dreamer is in form and looks the worthy fav, but is way too short and this ex Richard Hannon filly was looking ok and then, put in blinkers by new trainer Gay Kelleway, won a nursery over c & d. Followed that up with a close up by half a length 4th at Lingfield and returned this year after 100 days with an ok 4th again at Linfield, but finished well. Went off favorite lto after a short break (about 10 weeks) back on turf and maybe it was the g/f going or the break, but didn't perform and was about 4l last. This is a tricky/trappy race imo, but i still can't see why this is 66-1 and if this horse just needs a giddy-up, well, they've got the right jockey on board in Luke Morris who will certainly give it more than the kiss of the whip Hollie gave it lto.

This horse has a long lay off to deal with (7 months) and will possibly need the run, but the penny seemed to finally drop in it's last race and came 2nd over c & d back in October. Small stakes on this one unless the market says otherwise.

Got some decent ew money on Play It Again Zaam lto, but not sure the going today will suit for win and the same for The Bog Bank and Barnhill Rose. Kodiac Prince runs well here and has a c & d 1/1, as well as a win and place over other distances, but like the fav here has a poor draw if i remember correctly. (could be wrong, it's been known) Handicapper has relented from the stupid decision to up mark 13lb for the win here and nto last year and couldn't run to that in next races. Back to 65 now and has a 5lb claimer in the seat and given the love for this track after a fitness run-out, would hope a decent ew chance.

I was going to make this my win tip on here because i wanted to go ew on Tasmanian Girl who is currently first reserve and 33-1 with most and 28-1 with a few, but 12-1 with just ONE bookie (365) and that's the price on here! Skontonovski has 2 places over C & D from 4 rides and has a win on heavy and it's turf mark is way lower than it's aw mark and is now below the 61 mark of the last two turf wins. Worthy fav here but has a poor draw as does the better handicapped (now) Kodiac Prince, who i still might have as my win tip as runs well here.

I will take on the fav here with Expecto who has won here over the extened mile last year on heavy going. The fav and Special Agent butt heads again with some thinking the latter could reverse those lto placings, but i'm not so sure the 1lb swing and extra furlong will change much and Dolce Far Niente will be the one challenging Expecto.

Second h/c start, but first on turf and back down in trip from the last two races over 1m 3f where she finished last in both. Those extra furlongs in those races could hold her in good stead today at this course and her best race was over this 8f distance with this jockey. That was her first race this year back in January after a 10 week break and was in the mix going into the home straight, but tired in the last furlong and was not really riden hard by the jockey coming a 6l 7th/14. The heavy going today is an unknown, so just a small ew for a trainer known for having big priced winners.

I saw this was due to run the other day and was withdrawn, which surprised me, but now i see why. This race is much more winnable and i have been tracking this horse since her German days and made a tidy sum on her first race in Ireland at double figure odds if memory serves. Has actually found it quite a struggle after that but ran ok on seasonal debut and won a tight race lto and i hope that both those races were down to lacking fitness and that she is now race sharp, otherwise, she may not have come on like i thought she would. Even so, she should still be winning this race.

Another tracker horse of mine who needs to dictate the pace, but not always by front running. Will happily let another do that just as long as it's a quick pace so as to take out any hold-up horses that like to finish quick. Improved a lot last year and after some 2nd places, finally got the win she deserved in a listed race at the Curragh which was her last race that year. Returned on the aw for what i would decribe as a run for fitness as she has never won on that surface and it was a slowly run race, but should be sharper today and will enjoy the ground conditions.

Completely the opposite to my 1405 tip, this one appears to be drifting, but i just can't ignore that last race. Ok, this is a different kettle of fish to that last race and now has a Derby entry and i believe is 8-1 for the trial race and 25-1 for the Derby, which will drop quite a lot if Hidden Law wins both.

Tricky little race this, but i don't fancy the current fav Vince Lamour, (bad draw/good going/up in grade) but i do like this one and Kings Merchant who are both drawn well in 1 and 2. DFL was pulled out of what i guess was a fitness run because of soft ground, which is why i'm going ew for this one and if ready to roll, could be a good forecast.

It only just hit me that this is Kings Merchant's h/c debut, but has been in such decent form in all races that it just has to be my win tip here. Has had two runs this year, a 2nd and then a win, both in March and is drawn in 1 which as we all know is so important around here.

I'm a bit late getting on this and the market has now switched to this as favorite. Was behind Daisy Inthe Breeze lto, but was very green, had a bad draw and got bumped, but finished like a train and certainly imo was the best horse in that race. Judging by the market support, everyone agrees.

I quite like 3/4 in this race, but Tsunami Spirit is my ew pick and i was going to wait until tomorrow, but the price looks to be dropping, so will do it now. Looked decent enough last year and would have come on a lot and had a run-out on the aw at Kempton last month so should be ready for this.

I'm still going to bet this ew even though the going would be better at good. There is no rain planned and this is the last race so it still might be ok and does have some form on g/s yielding so it's not money down the drain. Is just so consistent and 25-1 seems way to high and five places on offer so i'll go with Tara Power. Would also appear my nap is now a non runner, so what the heck, new nap as well.

Had two and a half years off the track when returning over 1m 4f last month and now has handicap debut today. First two runs back in 2021 were over 7f and 8f and as you'd expect, were very average runs. New trip for this h/c debut of 1m 2f and there is still every chance Boxing Hero will still need this run and possibly the next, but with this trainer, anything is possible, so a small ew.

Another horse of mine that i've followed of a cliff when with Jess Harrington, but has now changed stables and we have a new distance to try. I'll be honest and say that i never thought she needed this far and that she was probably best over 7f (although one of the two wins was over 6f as well as 7f) and not 6f or 8f, but she does like this going today and this trainer thinks this might be a good move, so i'll also take an ew chance on her as well.

Ran it's best race over this distance on h/c debut when trained by the Charltons in UK and actually went off a short priced fav that day. Debut for this yard was on heavy going and would have needed the run and is now running in this fillies maiden and will be getting no weight from the two higher rated horses, so will have to show a big improvement today, but gets better ground to try and show that.

Art Of Unity is due a win and went off fav in his last race of 2023 but had his worst race for some time, (had gone 2-3-2 before that) but it did come just 6 days after he was pipped on the line by a nose the race before and it was probably a case of one race too many. Returned last month under this claiming jockey (who i don't know anything about) and looked good for 4f and tired at the end so was in need of that race after his break. Jockey is looking for first win with his 10lb claim and AOU is already below his last winning mark, so if now race fit and running again in blinkers, it is a decent ew bet, but this claimer could get first win.

This is the other who is dropping down in trip on h/c debut and although both my tips were bigger prices a little while ago, they are still big enough and i suppose the market support means that i'm not the only one catching on to these dropping in distance on h/c debut and is possibly a good sign. This one has gone off at triple figure prices though and has finished way down the field in those races, so caution is advised, although i should put that message on most of my tips. Small ew.

I'm going to go with Johnny Murtagh's Emerald Harmony here who finished her debut race off strong as if the penny dropped a little late, but was probably finishing fastest back in 6th. Wasn't given a hard time and should be all the better for that first outing. A lot of support for the Twomey horse this morning is a danger and my original pick Ojw Legacy is back in distance after 1 race over 7f and 2 over 6f, so i was worried about this 5f, but shows the strongest form.

Should have just gone ew on my win tip, but Woohoo caught my eye. Has no recent run this year but has raced twice on the aw, the first of which wasn't too bad, although a distant 3rd to two horses rated in the 80's and the second run was tried in blinkers (but not today) and they clearly didn't work. So based on that first run and with some improvement hopefully, Woohoo could at least get one of these 4 places.

Another old timer just like my ew pick, but this one's even older at 12yo. Also another with a mark that's been dropping like a stone since 2021(was rated in the 100's) although briefly went up after his last win back in October 2022 off 73 and has run really well in both races this year. (4th/20 & 5th/27 both over c & d) Here's the thing, he's now on a mark of 64 and was for those last two races with Crosse and Lee riding and today we have Jess Maye's 10lb claim to take off and if ever she wishes to add to her two wins, today could be the day. Can still get around 10-1 so looks an ew bet to nothing.

An Irish favorite of mine over the years who at 10yo is showing no signs of losing his love for racing, even if the handicapper has. Had some nice wins last year and mark was in the 80's for a lot of it and just before switching trainers, was given a well deserved break, even if it was only 100 days. His stable switch followed three 3rd's on the aw then a decent 7th/21 over c & d nto and as mentioned earlier, his mark has now dropped to 68. Most of his wins have come over this 6f distance, so will forgive lto run over 5f which was lost at the start when losing ground after a bump and it was over, so not given a hard ride. EW chances at a nice price.

Had wins on turf and aw when in France and has just the two runs after coming to Ireland in 2022, both on the aw and both pretty poor. Maybe had problems because wasn't seen in 2023 and returned this March after that long lay-off and was 6th/16, so not too bad. Possible bounce factor nto and was slowly away and maybe took up too much trying to get back into it, so worth another try today at 33-1 ew because conditions suit.

Won over c & d last October which made it two wins on the trot. Didn't follow that up here nto over 6f seemingly on the wrong side of the track, had to come fron too far back and ran into traffic problems, so 7th/19 wasn't as bad as it seems. Just looked in need of the run on seasonal debut and if getting the lucky breaks today, can certainly win this.

There really wasn't much between the top 3 in the market today lto with Maxux finishing 2nd to todays current fav White Birch. Both Maxux and Village Voice have 3lb on WB today and i just think given a better ride than last time, Maxux could win this even without the difference.

Always the one to take on Moore/O'Brien and i'm going to do it with Monotone, who might get beat again by Arizona Blaze, but was still very green in that race and looked a lot better nto winning and toughing it out right to the line. If coming on for that win can be in the mix here today at double figure odds.
