He has been staying on in his last 2 races over 1m1f and 1m2f and so the step up to 1m4f looks the right move. He is closely related to 1m4f winner Yabass, 1m4f winner Andradtx and his dam Fresh Mint won between 1m3f-1m4f and so his pedigree suggests this trip will be ideal

He finished 4th of 7 on debut and showed some promise but the soft ground ultimately got the better of him that day. He encounters faster conditions which should see him in a better light especially based on his pedigree. This is because he is a half brother to Enbihaar who was a 2m Group 2 winner and achieved all of her wins on good or good to firm ground so fast ground is very preferable and should hold a leading chance today granted that

He was consistently finishing in the top 3 without winning before a below par run at Ayr last time out where the soft ground went against him. He encounters faster conditions today and returns to the course and distance he finished 2nd at 3 starts ago, when only going down by a neck. This is his seasonal reappearance but he finished a good 3rd first time out last year and this step back up in distance will suit as he is half brother to 1m4f-2m4f Group 2 winner Coltrane and 1m6f-2m4f winner Tigris Winner so there is a lot of stamina in his pedigree

The first rules runner of Don Cantillon since August 2022 when that was another bumper runner who won on debut so he can ready them out first time round. He is very well bred as his dam As I Am was a bumper winner, and she was closely related to bumper winner Elegant Touch and half sister to another bumper winner and 2m flat winner Western Way, so the selection is bred for this discipline and should run a very big race for this trainer

His best performances over both fences and hurdles have come when encountering good ground which were the conditions when he won at Warwick last year in May. Despite a few placed efforts since, there has not been any wins, mostly due to the ground being too soft and gets good ground again today. He has been dropped 2lbs from last time out when 3rd at Plumpton, which means he is now 1lb lower than his win at Warwick so should run well with conditions ideal

She was green on debut when finishing 3rd on heavy ground before improving by a place last time out when 2nd to the reopposing Galileo Dame. Although that horse won going away, the heavy ground on both occasions have been too much for the selection, especially as her dam Red Evie won most of her races on fast ground including a Group 1. She is a sister to 8 winners with the most notable of those being Found who won 3 Group 1s including the Arc and Breeders Cup, as well as finishing 2nd in 10 more Group 1sso she was a top class filly and proven over the distance so this trip should be relished by the selection and has a chance with the in form William Buick on board

He has been very consistent in his runs so far finishing in the first 2 in all but one of his last eight runs which came last time out, but even then he was beaten less than 4 lengths by the winner. His win did come on the all weather but his peak RPR came on turf on soft ground at Thirsk when 2nd on his penultimate start. He returns to turf following that below par run on the AW last time out and this fast ground will suit as his dam Star Fire had 3 turf wins all coming on fast ground over 5 or 5.5 furlongs and has a chance today from a very good draw

He recorded his best RPR over 7f at Kempton last time out when 2nd, however he was taken over in the final strides so the drop back to 6f looks like the right move. His dam won 3 times on turf over 6f including on fast ground as well as winning a Listed race over 1m on good ground so conditions will suit on this switch to turf again. He should run well with a very good draw in stall 2 which is key for a track like Chester

That day she finished half a length behind Via Sistina who has since ran in 4 Group 1s, winning one and being 2nd in the other 3. He recorded a solid RPR when being promoted from 2nd to 1st following the disqualification of the first past the post horse after their jockey weighed in light. He is closely related to French winner Sermandakfi and he is a half brother to Sermando who was a flat winner over a very similar distance and so a good run can be expected today

He may be 13lbs higher than his last win but he is considered on a few of his runs last year including his 2nd last time out at Navan. That form has been well franked with the winner finishing 4th in a Listed contest, the 3rd place horse completing a hat trick including a Listed contest, and the 4th also winning next time out. He is also the choice of Jack Kennedy who is currently leading the Irish Jockey championships so interesting he has gone for this horse and he is well handicapped based on that latest form

He has been running well over fences this year finishing 3rd, 1st and 2nd but his hurdles form was just as good at the tail end of last year where he had an identical record, but over hurdles were all at this track over a similar distance, including a win over a half furlong further. He will appreciate the forecast rain and despite his good chase form, his hurdles mark is just 1lb above his latest 2nd here over 2m3f
