I tipped this horse LTO at 10/1 at Wetherby and was so confident of a good run. He could only manage 3rd that day and was only beaten by 2L. The run before that he finished 8th at Chelmsford but again wasn't beaten far (3L) and had a wide draw that day. He's still 3lb above his last winning mark but he surely wins soon with how he's running and I hope todays the day.

This horse is a 3 time C&D winner and has placed around here multiple times as well. He can be a little bit inconsistent which explains why he's 10/1 today but it was only August last year when he won over C&D from only 1lb lower than todays mark. He's in stall 1 which always helps and I'm expecting a good run today back on turf and back at his favourite course,

Executive Decision didn't finish last season too well, finishing 7th, 11th and 5th in her last 3 starts. Before that she won 2 races in a row in August, off marks of 84 and 90. She's dropped to only 1lb above the last winning mark and is down in class today. The break is a slight concern as most of these horses have had a run out this season but she did finish an excellent 5th of 26 at Royal Ascot on her reappearance in June last year.

This horse really interests me, finished 2nd on his final handicap start in February at odds of 100/1. He looked like he finished well that day staying on, so was entered into a 1m1/2f race at Wolverhampton in March. He could only manage 4th that day, but didn't run too badly and was bumped into by another horse, and he also lost a shoe in that race. He's down 1lb for that run but he looks progressive and could be in with a chance of placing today.

Finished an excellent 2nd only beaten 0.5L on the all weather at Wolverhampton last month after a break. The winner that day was Gogo Yubari who went onto win next time out. She should improve for that run and although up 2lb I think she's on a workable mark

This horse is a C&D winner and is down to his last winning mark today of 86. LTO he finished 6/8 at Ripon but that was in a class 3 and was only beaten by 2.5L which is a decent showing over 1m4f, and it was also his first run back after a break. Surely improves from that run today, and Mark Winn rides again with his valuable 3lb claim.

I fancied this horse LTO after her run at Catterick when being isolated wide and basically pulled up. I'm happy to put a line through her run on handicap debut LTO too, if you watch the final furlong closely you can see Harrison Shaw having to stop pushing her because she had no racing room at all and for a second it looks like he was going to completely stop riding her. Convinced she goes well today and I had tipped her for the 2.55 @ Nottingham on Saturday but she was declared a non runner due to the ground.

This race is a tough puzzle to solve but I fancy Geelong to outrun his odds today. He's not won since October over 1m4f on good ground, and has ran on the all weather since placing 5 times in 7 races. His handicap mark stays at 67 but he went really close LTO at Kempton and the race before that he wasn't beaten far at Lingfield. He's certainly due a win and the return to turf today may just spark something in him to get his nose in front.

Finished 6th in the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket last month but was only beaten 4.75L. That was after a 9 month break and she ran well until being outpaced 2f out but still beat a Group 2 winner in Matrika. She may have needed that run, and should improve from that today. A lot of these horses have questions marks over their form and ability so it's worth taking a punt on a still unexposed 3 year old in this and she receives 10lb from the 4 year olds today.

Topanga makes her handicap debut today and seems a good price at 11/1. Was a decent 2yo last season finishing 2nd on debut before winninga novice race at Kempton. LTO she ran in the Group 3 Fred Darling Stakes at Newbury and just before the 2f pole she didn't really have much room and there was no way through. I'm not saying she would have got any closer that day, but Oisin Murphy pretty much gave up just after that when she was beaten. She's in much calmer waters today in this class 2 handicap and should be bang in there off a mark of 88 and carrying only 8 stone 4.

This is a very lightly raced and unexposed 4 year old who I think has a great chance today. She won 3/3 in Germany before moving across to England and finished a brilliant 0.5L 2nd over this trip at Kempton, running from off the pace. LTO she was upped to 1m4f in a class 3 and ran from the front, but she ran way too free and burned out 3f out. Another go at this trip today and if Clifford Lee can settle her and ride her tucked in behind horses, she should go close.

He's got some stamina in his pedigree (related to a 2m-2m4f hurdle winner) and may need a bit further than this in the near future but I'm happy to take a chance at 16/1.

Won over C&D last year from a mark of 83 and although up 5lbs today, the early money has come in for this horse which is always a good sign in these types of races in Ireland. His last 2 runs haven't been very good at all, finishing 10th and pulling up but he's shown he can bounce back from these sort of runs.

Really liked the look of his run LTO - finished 0.75L 4th that day after a 7 month break and the horse in 2nd has won since. He runs off the same mark today and should improve from that run. The drying ground shouldn't be a problem for him as he placed on good to firm last season. He seems impossible to win with, but today might just be his day.

Think 6/1 is really good value on this horse today. He finished 0.5L 2nd at Thirsk LTO and has only been raised 1lb for that run. His form figures over C&D are 122226 so clearly likes it here. Recent form would have you believe he's a soft/heavy ground horse but he has placed multiple times on good & good to firm ground. Mark Winn takes off 3lb which will help in this step up to class 5 company (he won a class 5 race over C&D in August so this doesn't concern me) and both trainer and jockey are in decent form at the moment.

In decent form this year over 6f with most being on the all weather. Managed to get his mark up to 75 for his two runs on turf recently and didn't run badly finishing 2nd at Pontefraft LTO and 5th at Musselburgh in April. His mark has been eased 2lbs to 73 for todays race and Sam Feilden takes off a further 7lbs which should aid his cause.

LTO he finished 4th at Kempton in a 30k conditions race and the winner that day was Notable Speech who dedicated the field at the 2000 Guineas. Arctic Thunder runs off a mark of 85 today, and the horse in 3rd is rated 86, the horse in 2nd 98, and the horse in 5th 88! I think he could be really well handicapped today and thought his odds would have been a bit shorter.

This horse clearly likes it around here and has form figures of 2531. Last year he finished 3rd this race from a wide draw (same draw as today) and is 3lbs lower today. He also finished a good 2nd here in September, again from a wide draw, and arrives here in good form finishing 3rd at Wolves 2 runs ago before finishing a close 2nd at Newmarket LTO. The wide draw is of obvious concern with his running style, and if he had a better draw he'd be much much shorter, but it doesn't seem to bother him around here and I'm happy to take 10/1 each way with 4 places on offer.

This horse is in fine form this year, with form figures of 2633311. The 6th place finish was over an inadequate 6f last month so that can be excused. With good form usually comes an increase in handicap mark but he's managed to keep his mark fairly low, running off the same mark today as he was 5 runs ago. He's only 5lb above his last winning mark and should go well again today.

LTO at Yarmouth she ran with brilliant credit - although 9th of 10 she was only beaten by 3.25L and although carrying under 8 stone that day she will find this drop back into Class 6 much easier. She finished 2nd at Southwell in a Class 6 in October from only 1lb higher and also finished 2nd at Nottingham the race before that. She runs well on good to soft, but also doesn't mind firmer ground too.

This is a very interesting runner for me, and is a huge gamble but 4 places at50/1 is tempting. Had some decent runs in France In 2022 culminating in a 17k handicap win over 1m2f at Longchamp. He was then transferred to Alan King and ran at Goodwood where he finished last but slipped on the bend and stopped straight away. He then ran at Chelmsford finishing last of 10 and I can't really see an excuse for that run - he may have hated the all weather surface? His run over 1m LTO was much better, he wasn't beaten by a mile but wasn't really put in the race either by Josephine Gordon. Up in trip to 1m2f today and if he can repeat his form from France he has a slight chance today. Looks to be on a workable mark being 13lbs lower than the Goodwood run last year.

The early drift on this horse may speak volumes but I also wouldn't be shocked if her odds came right in closer to the off. Only raced once on debut over 5.5f and was very slowly away from a wide draw, raced in last and was outpaced early on. She still managed to keep on well and finish 3rd, only 2.5L behind the winner. She was the best out of the debutants today and this step up in trip should suit as her dam won over 1m and is related to a few 1m+ winners. Georgia Dobie again takes off a valuable 3lb and it wouldn't surprise me if she got into the places today.

I really like the look of this horse today, she has won twice over this distance and has a good C&D record (two 2nd place finishes from 3 runs). LTO she finished a good 2nd over 2m4f after a 5 month break so should be fit and ready to go for this one. She may be a little high in the weights at the moment but did finish 2nd at Taunton from this mark and won over C&D from only 2lb lower in October. This is a race full of front runners and I can see the pace burning out early on the long Brighton straight. This leads me to Impeach who likes to be held up and could pick off horses at the finish. He's been off for 3 months and doesn't race with his usual cheekpieces today, but is dropped into a Class 6 for the first time in his career. He had a good run over an inadequate 7f finishing 3rd at Lingfield in January but was outpaced and likely didn't stay the trip LTO. Back down to 6f today, and it was only 5 runs ago he won a 6f race at Chelmsford off a mark of 68. Could go well today at 16/1.

A competitive maiden race and I could make claims for most of these horses but one that caught my eye LTO was Teej A. Finished really well on debut at Nottingham over 5f on soft ground. The step up in trip to 6f and the good ground today should really help her claims in this race and she's drawn in stall 1. She also receives 5lbs from most of these horses.

Happy to take a chance on Kay Tara Tara today at 10/1 with 4 places on offer. She won over C&D in October and has been in great form since until her run LTO when pulling up at Newbury. She lost a shoe that day so I'm happy to put a line through that run. Since her debut, she has form figures of P2231021, with the worst finish being when 14th of 20 in the Grade 2 Mares Flat race at Aintree. She's had 1.5 months off the track and should be fresh today. Trainer Alan King is in decent form with 7 places from 22 runners in the last 2 weeks. She's also won on good ground before so the drying conditions shouldn't affect her too much.

Win over C&D last year off a mark of 87 and also managed to win two races off marks of 91 and 94 in the autumn. He finished 7th LTO at Ripon and whilst there wasn't many excuses for that run, he surely runs better today and connections have opted to use an experienced jockey in Jack Garrity who has won on this horse before.

Her course figures read 62222 and I always like a horse with good course experience here as it's such a unique track. The 6th place finish at her last visit to the course was in a listed race so that can be excused. LTO she finished 5th at Chelmsford but that was over 7f for the first time in her life and she usually needs a run to blow off the cobwebs after a break so that can be excused. She's down 2lbs from that run, and 7lbs lower than her 2nd place here last season.

Only 2 places in this 6 runner Cheshire Oaks but Lasting Love could be a good each way bet at the odds. She finished 3rd on debut at Doncaster in a 30k maiden race but she was best of the newcomers that day. She then finished 0.75L 3rd at Newbury LTO after 7 months off the track and she was really unlucky not to get her head in front that day. She's definitely going to improve this season and the good ground today with the step up in trip could help her chances in this race.

Couldn't follow up next time out at Pontefract but he was upped to 6f on very heavy ground and didn't break well that day, and he was also under a penalty for the debut win.
